I can't imagine being in a more rewarding profession than Real Estate, because change is constant and every day is challenging and fulfilling.   I love land and houses and finding places for families to live.
I became licensed in Real Estate in 1986, and began selling homes in the San Jose area, just as it was developing into the Silicon Valley that we know today.  I became a Broker in 1992, which allowed me to become more diversified in real estate options.
Interest rates began dropping to the single-digits in the 1990s, and I began originating loans, for both refinance and purchase transactions.   Financing is the cornerstone of real estate ownership, and having expertise in this area has allowed me to advise my clients more accurately.
The early 2000s offered new opportunities, and we became a part of Realty World Northern California, as a franchise owner.   It offers everything one would like as a Real Estate Brokerage office, including the latest in technology, education, tools, and support from a wonderful group of people.
In 2012, I began originating loans through my own brokerage company, Silverado Home Mortgage, which has been very rewarding.   To do this well, one must have control of the loan file at every stop, and we have accomplished this.  We now have a very efficient real estate sales and financing office, ready to deliver top-notch service to our clients, to help them accomplish their goals.
Most of my 27+ years of real estate profession has been in the San Francisco Bay Area. This place is truly special with its culture, weather, landscape and more. I really believe that the Bay Area is one of the best places to own real estate in the world.
